The easiest way to design is to design from scratch. Do you have land and a sheet of white paper. What to do when you purchased the construction in progress? Or are you already have part of the house of bricks, and you want to make an addition of timber? In the arsenal of our company there are some completed projects. Construction of the second floor of the house or the attic is no different from the construction of the first floor. The only difference is that it is necessary to carry out preparatory work for the installation of the first shrouds log on top of the brickwork of the first floor. We practice in this case, the reinforced fill zone (basement), with anchors for fixing of wooden structures. This design strengthens the walls of the first floor and did not allow them to disperse. The best option if the first floor of a brick is casting slabs between floors. In the construction phase should take care of overlapping anchors or other fastening elements of the wood to the walls of the first floor.
All subsequent construction is no different from building a wooden house from a kit of parts for self assembly houses, which are manufactured at our factory.
If the wooden extension of laminated veneer lumber will not in the form of the second floor, and in the form of adjacency to a brick wall, it is important to remember the following:
- The wooden construction of the mobile extension is in contrast to the stone wall, it should be taken into account when installing the junction of the walls of the timber and brick.
- Wooden parts characterized by a high water absorption on the ends. It is therefore necessary to take care of quality antiseptic soaking the ends of parts and provide a reliable waterproofing of adjacent wooden structures.
- Places junction wood to a brick wall most vulnerable to blowing winds. Necessary to organize a safe and moving seal joints between brick wall and the wall of the timber.
